WITRON awarded “Best Warehouse Automation Company”

The WITRON Group has been honored with a prestigious award in the Asia-Pacific market. On May 13, 2026, a delegation led by WITRON Key Account Manager Win Tun received the prestigious “Best Warehouse Automation Company” award from the Singapore-based Logistics & Supply Chain Management Society (LSCMS). The award ceremony took place as part of the annual LogiSYM Award Gala Dinner, held alongside the logistics and industry trade fairs LogiSYM Asia Pacific 2026 and CeMAT South Asia 2026.

The LogiSYM Awards are widely respected, merit-based recognitions in Asia, presented annually by the Logistics & Supply Chain Management Society to honor excellence, outstanding innovation, and leadership within the logistics and supply chain industry. A panel of twelve experienced experts carefully evaluated and selected companies and individuals who have demonstrated exceptional achievements across various categories in the logistics sector. The selection process followed a comprehensive evaluation and nomination phase spanning several months.

WITRON received the ‘Best Warehouse Automation Company Award’ in recognition of successfully completed projects for leading food retailers, based on its OPM end-to-end technology, which ensures sustainable benefits across the entire supply chain and is now implemented in more than 100 food retail distribution centers worldwide.

Axfood and WITRON realize another full-range distribution center

In mid-December 2025, Swedish food retailer Axfood and the WITRON Group signed the project agreement as well as the contract for remote and OnSite services, thereby jointly initiating the realization of another full-range logistics center. A 90,000 square meter highly automated facility will be built in Kungsbacka (near Gothenburg) in southern Sweden, supplying more than 400 stores with different dry, fresh, and frozen items. On peak days, more than 560,000 cases will be picked in a store-friendly manner using fully or semi-automated processes. The new project underscores the expansion of the strategic partnership between the two companies, which have already very successfully put one of the world’s most efficient omni-channel distribution centers into operation in Bålsta (near Stockholm).

Record order intake in the company’s history

“The first violin in a perfectly tuned supply chain orchestra”

Since mid-2024, Jumbo, the second-largest food retailer in the Netherlands, has been operating a highly automated fresh logistics center that sets the pace for the entire supply chain without taking the lead role - the requirements were clear. At its National Distribution Center in Nieuwegein (Netherlands), Jumbo and WITRON unveil a concept that redefines the role of modern logistics hubs. The focus: speed, availability, and agility. Covering 40,000 square meters, the facility supplies over 725 stores in the Netherlands and Belgium with nearly 3,000 different fresh and ultra-fresh items, including dairy products, a wide selection of cheese, meat products, tapas, salads, chilled beverages, and much more. At an ambient temperature of +2 degrees Celsius, more than one million units can be picked daily using OPM (30 COM machines), AIO, and CPS modules. A fully automated shipping buffer ensures just-in-time dispatch of store-friendly stacked roll containers to the markets.

CLog 3.0: COOP and WITRON launch third building stage

Norwegian grocery retailer COOP Norge SA and WITRON have maintained a successful and trusting partnership for more than a decade. This collaboration is embodied in the full-range logistics center near Gardermoen Airport in Oslo. Covering 84,000 square meters, the facility currently supplies 1,200 stores with more than 13,000 different dry, fresh, and frozen items. At its core is WITRON’s OPM system, featuring 42 COM machines operating across all temperature zones. In early November 2025, COOP signed a contract for the project CLog 3.0 to expand its highly automated facility by adding 12 additional COM machines along with all upstream and downstream logistics technology. This third building stage will increase the total COM machine count in the logistics center to 54 and boost throughput to 690,000 picks per day.
